Life on the farm;
I woke up this morning and was so pleased to feel the sun on my face as today was our first outdoor bbq of the season. In the three years I have worked here if there is one thing I have learned - if you want to get residents to an activity, you offer them alcohol. A cooler full of Coors Light (who knew it was kosher) and the stench of a Hebrew National was all it took to lure about 70 of my best buddies out from the dark shadows of their rooms... Out under that big oak tree they listened to JC (that's Johnny Cash - not Jesus Christ - ha ha) and laughed. They felt the wind on their faces and had twinkles in their eyes.
Of course it got a little big more challenging when Betty decided that she wanted to play peek-a-boo with Milt in the resident garden. Of course that was nothing compared to Celia's impersonation of her roommate Georgia; I haven't heard an armpit fart that loud since first grade.
Anyway, the drama was soon over as everyone retired back to the deep dark crevases of their rooms for afternoon naps. They need to be good and rested as Tuesday is bingo night - SWEET!
